Quotes from Ministers
Today like never before there is a cadre of Black women in professional ministry. We are chaplains, campus ministers, Christian educators, evangelists, missionaries, preachers, pastors, pastoral counselors, professors, religious journalists, religious scholars, social advocates, and theologians. We are represented in every Christian tradition. We are African Methodist Episcopalian, Apostolic, Catholic, Christian Methodist Episcopalian, Baptist, Christian Church Disciple of Christ, Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, United Church of Christ, and some of us serve in non-denominational settings.

The National Consortium of Black Women In Ministry, Inc. (NCBWIM) is a new national movement to empower and support black women in ministry. NCBWIM provides its members with opportunities for wisdom sharing, relationship building, spiritual formation, and critical thinking about the vocation of ministry, the church, and the ways to treat the ills of our society. In the future, NCBWIM envisions being able to offer even more benefits to its members, i.e. group life & health insurance, retirement investing, and ministry employment advertisements.

We are excited about God's vision for NCBWIM and we invite you to become a part of this new national movement of black women in ministry.
